PHL EMBASSY AND FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN BUENOS AIRES COMMEMORATE 118TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARTYRDOM OF DR. JOSE RIZAL

29 December 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Buenos Aires, led by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Ma. Carmela Teresa A. Cabreira, together with members of the Filipino community, held a wreath-laying ceremony at Dr. Jose Rizal´s bust located at Paseo de Republica de Filipinas along Avenida de los Incas in Buenos Aires on 28 December 2014 to commemorate the 118th anniversary of his martyrdom.
The brief ceremony was followed by a merienda at the Embassy Chancery. C.D.A Cabreira took the opportunity of the gathering to encourage members of the Filipino community to register under the Overseas Voters (OV) program to enable them to vote for the 2016 national elections. END.
