25 May 2017 BUENOS AIRES — Philippine Ambassador Ma. Amelita C. Aquino joined 24 other Heads of Mission in a visit to the Argentine province of La Rioja for its 426thFoundation Anniversary with the theme “La Rioja Embraces the World”.

The Ambassadors were welcomed by La Rioja Governor Sergio Casas at the Government House and were declared “Distinguished Guests” of the province by the Legislative Branch headed by Vice Governor Nestor Gabriel Bosetti.

Ambassador Aquino was among the Heads of Mission who were invited to be guests of the radio-TV programs of Radio Fenix and FM La Torre-Channel 9 of La Rioja.  During the programs, she highlighted the common cultural and historic heritage between the Philippines and Argentina and presented the Philippines as Argentina and Latin America’s ideal gateway to Southeast Asia.END
