ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Philippine immigration authority issues a permanent residence visa (specifically the 13A Non-Quota Immigrant Visa) to the qualified non-Filipino spouse of a Filipino citizen. The 13A visa is issued only to nationals of these countries:

 

Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Botswana, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt (visa applicant must be a male and married to a female Philippine citizen), El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, Fiji, France, Gabon, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hongkong SAR, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea South, Latvia, Lesotho, Libya (visa applicant must be a male and married to a female Philippine citizen), Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Malta (provided that the marriage took place before 24 April 2001 or the couple has been married for at least 5 years), Marshall Islands, Mexico, Micronesia, Monaco, Montenegro, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Northern Mariana Island, Norway, Oman (visa applicant must be a male and married to a female Philippine citizen), Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Saudi Arabia (visa applicant must be a male and married to a female Philippine citizen), Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela.

 

The 13A permanent residence visa is not issued to nationals not included in the preceding list.

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Personal appearance of the applicant
  2. Accomplished Visa Application Form
  3. Passport with at least six months of validity beyond the date of departure from the Philippines
  4. Two (2) photocopies of passport information page of the applicant
  5. Two (2) photocopies of passport information page of the applicant’s Filipino spouse
  6. Original and photocopy of applicant’s birth certificate with English translation and legalized by the Ministerio Relaciones Exteriores y Culto (https://www.mrecic.gov.ar/es/asistencia-consular/legalizaciones-y-apostilla-en-el-pa%C3%ADs)
  7. Original and photocopy of applicant’s Filipino spouse’s birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority
  8. Original and photocopy of marriage certificate
  9. Recent photograph, size 4 cm x 4 cm, colored and taken against a white background
  10. Photocopy of Argentina issued DNI
  11. Certificado de Antecedentes Penales with English translation and legalized by the Ministerio Relaciones Exteriores y Culto (https://www.mrecic.gov.ar/es/asistencia-consular/legalizaciones-y-apostilla-en-el-pa%C3%ADs)
  12. Evidence of sufficient financial capacity to live in the Philippine, such as, but not limited to, bank statement of accounts, property deeds, certificates of stocks.

 

Interview by the visa official.

 

    • If the applicant and Filipino spouse were married in the Philippines, the Philippine marriage certificate must have been authenticated by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs
    • If the applicant and Filipino spouse were married in Argentina, the marriage must have been registered with the Philippine Embassy in Argentina
    • If the applicant and Filipino spouse were married in another country, the marriage must have been registered with the Philippine Embassy or Philippine Consulate-General in the country where the marriage took place
    • If the Filipino spouse was in a previous marriage before marriage to the applicant, the proof of marriage annulment must be presented

 

After the completion of the above requirements, the applicant will be advised to have the following:

 

  1. Medical examination to be undertaken by a physician in Argentina (using the medical form issued by the Philippine Embassy).

 

Important information:

 

  1. The Filipino spouse/parent of the visa applicant may be required to appear for interview about the immigrant visa application of the foreign spouse/minor child.
  2. Foreign-sourced documents (Items 7 and 9) must undergo the authentication procedure of the Philippine Embassy. Additional processing and charges will apply, as appropriate. The applicant will be advised what to do after evaluation and assessment of his submitted documents.
  3. PSA documents can be sourced online for delivery in Argentina. Please visithttp://www.census.gov.phfor more details.
  4. All documents in Spanish or other foreign language should be submitted together with its corresponding English translation.
  5. Additional documents may be required if and when deemed necessary.
  6. The above requirements are subject to change without prior notice.
  7. * -> Children born to at least one Filipino parent are citizens of the Philippines, following Art. IV, Sec.1 of the 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines.

The Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV) is issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) of the Republic of the Philippines under the Retirement Program of thePhilippine Retirement Authority (PRA) to foreigners and overseas Filipinos. It entitles the holder to multiple-entry privileges with the right to stay permanently/indefinitely in the Philippines.

 

The Special Resident Retiree (SRR) Visa is applied for directly with the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA).

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

I. For Principal Applicant

 

  1. Duly accomplished SRRV Application Form;
  2. Original Passport with valid Entry Visa;
  3. Medical Examination Clearance ;

 

Note: Can be secured abroad (with English translation) legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, or at any clinic/hospital in the Philippines accredited by the Department of Health;

 

  1. Police Clearance (from Country of origin/Country of residency with English translation) legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy, and Philippine National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance;

 

Note: Police Clearance only for Applicant whose stay in the Philippines is 30 days or less from the date of last entry;

 

 

  1. Twelve (12) pieces of 2”x2” inches ID Picture; and,
  2. Bank Certification of Dollar Time Deposit – Inward Remittance to PRA Accredited Banks Required Dollar Time Deposit: Please consult the PRA website www.pra.gov.ph for the revised schedule of Dollar Time Deposits.
  3. Processing Fee (one-time payment only): - US$ 1,400.00

 

II. For Spouse

 

  1. All requirements mentioned above, from I.a – I.e
  2. Marriage Certificate (with English translation) legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  3. US$ 300.00

 

III. For Dependent/s (Child)

 

  1. All requirements mentioned above, from I.a – I.e (except I.d which is only for dependents aged 18 to 20 years of age)
  2. Birth Certificate (with English translation) legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  3. US$ 300.00

 

Annual Fee: - US$ 360.00 (inclusive of principal & 2 dependents) - US$ 100.00 (for every excess dependent) - US$ 10.00 (for retiree’s applying for SRRV Courtesy)

The Special Study Permit (SSP) is issued by the Philippine Bureau of Immigration for foreigners who wish to engage in short-term, non-degree courses in the Philippines (i.e. language proficiency, computer courses). It is only issued in the Philippines. Eligible nationals who plan to enroll in non-degree courses that last for less than one (1) year may first apply for a tourist visa at the Philippine Embassy. Upon arrival in the Philippines, the student should apply for a SSP at the Bureau of Immigration’s Student Desk.

 

Minimum entry requirements for the Special Study Permit follow:

 

  • Passport valid for six (6) months from the date of intended entry to the Philippines;
  • Duly notarized letter from the applicant requesting the issuance of the permit;
  • Duly accomplished and notarized application form;
  • Certificate of acceptance issued by the learning institutions duly accredited by the Bureau of Immigration;
  • Photocopy of the applicant´s passport reflecting its data page, entry stamp and authorized stay of not less than 20 days from the date of filing; and
  • Bureau of Immigration Clearance Certificate.

Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV) may be issued to foreigners (except those classified as restricted) who are at least 21 years old, physically healthy, with no derogatory record and willing to invest at least US$75,000.00 in an existing or new corporation in the Philippines. That particular Philippine corporation must be publicly listed, covered by the Investment Priority Plan (IPP) projects or engaged in the manufacturing or service sectors. Applicant's spouse and the unmarried children under 21 years of age may also be issued the same visa.

 

PROCEDURE IN SIRV APPLICATION

 

Step 1: Application with the Philippine Embassy

 

Requirements:

 

1. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond authorized period of stay in the Philippines and two (2) copies of a certified copy of passport by the notary public.

2. Two (2) sets of the following documents:

  1. SIRV Application Form with six (6) pieces of 2" × 2" photographs and 6 pieces of 1" × 1" photograph (SIRV Form No. 001A for Principal and SIRV Form No. 001B for spouse or dependents).
  2. Notarized medical certificate valid for six months from date of filing with English translation, legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  3. Police Clearance Certificate, notarized by a notary public and county clerk in the applicant’s legal residence, with English translation, legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authenticated by the Consular Section. The certificate must be taken not more than six (6) months prior to date of filing of visa application.
  4. Certificate of Inward Remittance from the correspondent banks of these Accredited Depository Banks (Land Bank of the Philippines LBP or Development Bank of the Philippines DBP).
  5. Certificate of Peso Time Deposit (This will be forwarded by LBP or DBP to the One Stop SIRV Center in the Board of Investments within 24 hours of receipt of inward remittance).
  6. Accomplished Personal History Statement Form(issued by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency) duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  7. SIRV Deed of Undertaking (SIRV Form SH-001) duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy.
  8. Birth Certificate with English translation legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authenticated by the Philippine Embassy (for the principal’s dependents).
  9. Marriage Contract with English translation legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authenticated by the Philippine Embassy (for the principal’s spouse).

3. Payment of fees:

  • Filing fee of US$500.00 in cash and in US dollars only
  • Notarization/authentication of each document US$ 25.00 per copy
  • Courier Service - actual cost

 

Step 2: If the documents are complete, the Embassy will issue a stub from SIRV Form 001/1B and inform applicant that papers can be processed within 20 days provided applicant pays cost of courier service.

 

Step 3: The Embassy sends the application to the One-Stop SIRV Center - BOI for evaluation.

 

Step 4: If application is approved, the One-Stop SIRV Center-BOI endorses an approval to Department of Foreign Affairs- Consular Affairs Division, which, in turn, will inform the Philippine Embassy. Upon receipt of the Authority to Issue Visa, the Philippine Embassy will issue to the applicant a probationary multiple-entry SIRV valid for six months.
