07 October 2016 — Secretary of Agriculture Emmanuel Piñol visited Argentina from September 28 to 30 following the APEC Food Security Week in Piura, Peru. He was accompanied by Assistant Secretary for Livestock Enrico Garzon, Agricultural Attaché for the Americas Dr. Josyline Javelosa and the Secretary’s Executive Assistant Mr. Fernando Piñol.

Accompanied by Philippine Ambassador to Argentina Ma. Amelita C. Aquino, Secretary Piñol met with Argentine Minister for Agroindustry Ricardo Buryaile and visited the SEDA S.A. facility and Tauron biotechnology laboratory in Buenos Aires province to look into the application of Argentine technology on grain storage and embryo transfer technology for cattle.

In the bilateral meeting between Secretary Piñol and Minister Buryaile, they discussed cooperation in agriculture and trade of agricultural products between the two countries. END
