15 March 2017 ASUNCION, PARAGUAY — The Philippine Embassy in Buenos Aires conducted a consular mission in the Republic of Paraguay from March 09 to 10. Vice Consul Miguel Hornilla and Consular Assistant Marleth Cruz-Siman met with Filipino community members in the capital, Asuncion and visited Filipino workers in Japanese shipbuilding company Astillero Tsuneishi SA, an hour and thirty minutes outside of the capital.
On March 09, the Consular Team conducted mobile passport services and registered Filipinos for Overseas Voting, in addition to hosting dinner for the small Filipino community in Asuncion. They also met with officials of Astillero Tsuneishi on March 10, who praised the hard work, dedication and dependability of the Filipino workers.
The Consular Team then conducted an inspection of the housing facilities where Tsuneishi’s Filipino workers are domiciled and reminded the Filipino workers that the Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Asuncion and the Embassy in Buenos Aires will be more than happy to assist them should they need any kind of consular assistance.
