11 May 2017 — The Philippine Honorary Consul in Montevideo, Uruguay, Mr. Santiago Cuadra repatriated four Filipino seafarers of Chinese fishing vessel “FU YUAN YU 873” from Montevideo on May 09, after the Filipinos complained of being maltreated at the ship.

Messrs. Miguel Enero, Gary Lim, Jimmy Nalagay and Edwin Velado Jr. will arrive in the Philippines today.

The Filipinos expressed their gratitude to the Philippine Government for the invaluable assistance and attention given to them during their stay in Montevideo.
