PH Ambassador to Argentina Honored by Argentine Government

Ambassador Ma. Amelita C. Aquino receives the Gran Cruz during the farewell reception hosted by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

06 July 2017 BUENOS AIRES – Outgoing Philippine Ambassador to Argentina Ma. Amelita C. Aquino was recently awarded the prestigious Gran Cruz of the Orden de Mayo by the Argentine Government for her contributions in strengthening the political, cultural, and economic relations between the Philippines and Argentina.

The said award is the most prestigious award of its kinds conferred by the Argentine Government.

Ambassador Aquino said that she is extremely honored to receive the award. She thanked the Argentine Government for its partnership and support during her tour of duty in Argentina.

The Ambassador expressed confidence that the ties between the Philippines and Argentina will be stronger in the coming years.

Vice Minister Daniel Raimondi presented the award on behalf of the Argentine Government during the farewell reception hosted by the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
